Episode 7 – Listener Challenge!

For Episode 7, we’re inviting listeners to join us in the (virtual) salon for a drink!

As promised in last time, Louise & Neil have raided the 1970’s horrible recipe cards and selected a drink to debut live on air! Are we mad? Maybe – but we’d love it if you’d make a glass (or two) and join us in supping the beverage with the episode!

Ingredients:

250ml tea
3 cloves
20mm cinnamon stick
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
Few drops of peppermint oil
500ml lemonade
Optional – green food colouring

This recipe makes 4-5 glasses.

Put the tea in a saucepan together with the cloves and ground ginger, bring to the boil (was everything in the 1970s boiled?).

Once it has boiled, take it off the heat, cover and let cool. When it’s cold, strain it, add the peppermint, lemonade and green food colouring.

Chill and enjoy!
